About

on Chukchi Sea coast, near mouth of Singaruak Creek, 18 mi. SW of Barrow, Arctic Plain.

History

This is an old and well-established coastal camp named for the estuary- mouth of Singaruak Creek. Jarvis (U.S. Revenue-Cutter Service (USRCS), 1899) established a reindeer camp here in 1898 and spells the name "Sinra."
