About

On the upper course of the Gulkana River, 3 mi upstream from the mouth of Middle Fork Gulkanan river and 4 mi downstream from the settlement of Paxson. 3890 acres in size. Maximum depth is 80 feet. Shoreline length is 23 miles.

History

Named for the operator of a roadhouse at the north end of the lake about 1906; reported by the U.S. Army Signal Corps.
