Little Sitkin Island is an active stratovolcano and one of Rat Islands, in the Aleutian Islands.
Historynamed "Os(trov) Malyy Sitkhin," meaning "little Sitkin island" on the 1848 Russian Hydrographic Dept. Chart 1400. may possibly be from the Aleut word "sitxan," which, according to R. H. Geoghegan, means "from beneath or from under."
