History of Hawkins Island

Examined by James Johnstone (Vancouver's party) on June 5, 1794, and named by Captain George Vancouver, (Wagner, 1937, p. 391), Royal Navy (RN). It was called "Isla de Colpas" by Don Ignacio Arteaga on July 20, 1779.
