Tebenkov ( 1852, map 28), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), was "Anangusik." form "Gareloi," appeared on U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), U.S. Navy Hydrographic, and British Admiralty (Brit. Adm.) charts, prior to 1902.
