July 14, 1987 - Running Fatality at The Wedge
Andrew Lekisch, a 15-year-old from Anchorage fell 100 feet to his death. A cross country runner at West High School, he was training with friends when he decided to take a shortcut. His friends heard screams and Lekisch was gone.
