History of Martin Point

Named Point Sir Henry Martin by Sir John Franklin (1828, p. 146), Royal Navy (RN), August 4, 1826. The original location is doubtful; however, the name was definitely applied to this point by Leffingwell (1919, p. 97) in 1912.
