In the W part of the S coast of Saint Lawrence Island, formed by a spur of the Poovoot Range and the E limit of Boaxer Bay, 3 mi. W of Southwest Cape and 33 mi. SE of Gambell.
Eskimo name often written "Aikhwunat," but without a known meaning. Name was reported in 1944 by a survivor of a village once located at Southwest Cape.
