HistoryDescriptive name given August 4, 1793 by Captain Vancouver (1798, v. 2, p. 347), Royal Navy (RN). In 1853 the Russian Hydrographic Dept. published the name as "m(ys) Foggi ili Bryumez (Tumannyy)," or "Foggi Cape" or "Bryumez (Foggy)."
