History of Saint Catherine Cove

Named by W. H. Dall, U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS), in 1882 for Captain Lieutenant P. K. Krenitzin's vessel, the galiot St. Catherine, in which he spent the winter of 1768-69 in Isanotski Strait (Coxe, 1787, p. 208).
