About

at head of Bristol Bay, extends NE from line between Etolin Point and Goose Point at S entrance of Egegik River to mouth of Kvichak River at Koggiung, Bristol Bay Low.

History

Named in 1901 by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), commander of the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF) steamer Albatross. The name was probably derived from the Kvichak River.
