Extends NW 35 mi. from Siknik Cape northwestward, in the central part of the S coast of Saint Lawrence Island, 50 mi. SE of Gambell.

History

Locally named for Warren Koozata, formerly president of the Gambell Council. Its full Eskimo name is "Koozata Naivak." The word "naivak" means "lake."
