Heading at the terminus of the Dawes Glacier and trending NW 2 mi SE of Harbor Island, and forms the SE reach of Holkham Bay, 44 mi. SE of Juneau, Coast Mts. 30 miles long.
HistoryNamed in 1889 by Lieutenant Commander H. B. Mansfield, U.S. Navy (USN), for William Crowninshield Endicott, 1826-1900, Secretary of War under President Grover Cleveland, 1885-1889. The name was published by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1891 Coast Pilot (p. 147).
