In Stefanson Sound, extends NW from Foggy Island Bay to Cross Island between the McClure Islands and Dinkum Sands on the NE and Point Brower and the Sagavaniktok River Delta on the SW 19.3 km (12 mi) E of Prudhoe Bay.

Named in 1979 by marine geologists of the U.S.Geological Survey.
