Heads at a glacier on NE slope of Snowcap Mtn. at 613340N, 1533240W, flows NNW to the Kuskokwim River, 2 mi SE of Medfra, Kuskokwim Low.
HistoryThe name was used in 1907 by Gordon (1917, p. 104) who also reported its Indian name as "Istna." In 1899 Lieutenant Herron, (1901, p. 45 and map), USA, had reported the Indian name as "E-cheat-nu." J. E. Spurr and W. S. Post, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), considered this stream the main Kuskokwim River.
