| Humans have been in Alaska for thousands of years. Originally, they consisted of Yup'ik, Cup'ik, Inupiaq, Athabascan, Aleut, Alutiiq, Tlingit, Tsimshian, and Haida nations. In 1741 Russians found Alaska. In 1784 they built their first colony Three Saints Harbor on Kodiak Island. They assumed ownership over Alaska and other nationalities entered Alaska. On March 30, 1867, Secretary of State William H. Seward purchased Alaska from the Russians for $7.2 million.

Presently Alaska hosts a wide range of Homo sapiens. That is until the artic ice melts and the polar bears eat them all.
