Description
Least chipmunk (Tamias minimus), is the widest roaming chipmunk. They're small orange-brown and grey, with black and white bars running from face to rump. They're up to 9 inches long and can weight just over 2 ounces.
Diet & Habitat
They eat berries, seeds, particularly cone seeds in Alaska, and insects.
Least chipmunks are found in the Yukon and only occasionally wander into Alaska above Skagway.
