About

Aphids are small semi-pear-shaped insects, 1-2mm in size, larger than a flea and smaller than a bee. They're found in large groups often feeding on plants. They can be bright green, shades of brown, or nearly black.

Aphids feed on the sap of plants, from garden plants to bushes and full on trees. They've infested and posed threats to spruce and birch forest throughout the state. The infestations will usually continue until the weather gets cold enough to subdue them.
