January 30, 2010 - recreating Fatality at Mekoryuk
Hultman Kiokun, 63, of Mekoryuk, was killed after falling 50ft off a cliff while trying to navigate home in near white-out conditions. Hultman was out collecting wood with his son, Edward Kiokun, 26, when weather conditions deteriorated and both when over the cliff on to the ice covering the Mekoryuk River. Hultmans machine landed on him and he died at the scene.
