Cole Gilila, 15, was pulled under the ice when the snowmachine he and a friend were riding hit a patch of open water, about 8 miles upriver from Kalskag. Seeing as the incident happened around 6pm it was likely in the dark they didn't see the water until it was too late. ADN Article
