May 22, 2023 - Walking Fatality at Hope

Hope, Cook Inlet,

Zachary Porter a 20-year-old man from Illinois got stuck in the mud flats of Cook Inlet near Hope. He was not able to be freed before the tide rose and he drown. Many people have drowned along the Cook Inlet and surrounding mud flats, thankfully more have been rescued in time. Call for assistance as soon as it is obvious someone has become stuck. ADN Article.
