July 1, 2025 - Hiking Fatality at Gold Ridge
Dr. Marites Buenafe, 62, of Lexington, Kentucky was traveling on a Norwegian Bliss cruise. While at port in Juneau she took the tram to the top to go for a hike and went missing. Two days later, her body was found approximately 1,700 feet below the ridge line of Gold Ridge. NY Times Article
