July 17, 2011 - Plane Piloting Fatality at Delta Junction

Delta Junction,

Eric C. Corl left the airstrip in his Piper PA-12 Super Cruiser, N92770, but the plane's engine started making odd noises and quit. The aircraft apparently stalled as Corl tried to turn toward the airstrip.

It fell from an altitude of about 200 feet and crashed nose-first into the trees and ground.
