In the Chugach Mountains, extending NE from College Point to Mount Witherspoon, and forming the divide between Harvard and Yale Glaciers, 40 mi NW of Valdez, Chugach Mts. 30 miles long.

Named in 1956 by Lawrence Nielson for Dora Keen Handy (1871-1963), who, in 1914, led the first expedition into this area and in 1912 made the first ascent of Mount Blackburn.
