Looks to be noted as Eightmile Mountain on the USGS Topo maps. Conflicting with other USGS information. Might possibly be the mountain with a 14 on it just south of Eightmile Mountain on the topo.

History

In 1910 P. S. Smith and H. M. Eakin wrote, "A low limestone hill, locally known as Aurora Mountain, is the center around which the (copper) prospects are grouped." (in Brooks and others, 1911,p. 300), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
