Bounded by West Fork Yentna River on the northeast, Shellabarger Pass and Dillinger River on the north, Jones River on the west, and Earl River, Simpson Pass, and Kichatna River on the south; centered around Cathedral Spires, 70 miles southwest of Denali; Alaska Range. (AK-T1)

History
Local name derived from Kichatna River and reported in 1951 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
