On W shore of Shelikof Strait, includes Big Alinchak Bay on the NW and Little Alinchak Bay on the SW, 9.2 km (5.7 mi) SW of Mount Kubugakli and 58 km (36 mi) NW of Karluk, E coast of Alaska Peninsula, Alaska Range. 5 miles wide.
Native name obtained in 1904 from Nikolai Kalmakov of Katmai; published by G. C. Martin (1921, pl. 9), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
