About

Flows SW to the Beluga River between Beluga Lake and Lower Beluga Lake, 1 mi. E of Beluga Lake and 24 mi. NW of Tyonek, Cook Inlet Low. 16 miles long.

History

Named in 1962 by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) because the area drained by this stream was the site of extensive coal drilling by the U.S. Bureau of Mines in 1959-1961.
