SE of the junction of the Valdez and Klutina Glaciers, 3 mi. SE of Townsend Peak, 16 mi NNE of Valdez, Chugach Mountains.

History
Named in 1959 by L. E. Nielsen for Frank Charles Schrader (1860-1944), of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) who was the first geologist to study the Valdez Glacier area while a member of Captain W.R. Abercrombie's military expedition in 1898.
