First peak on the N side of Valdez Glacier, W of its junction with the Klutina Glacier, 0.5 mi. SE of Mount Brookfield, and 17.5 mi N of Valdez, Chugach Mts.

History
Named in 1898 for Emil Mahlo, a topographer with Captain Abercrombie's expedition of 1898 to the arrea, who, working with F.C. Schrader's party, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), made the first topographic map the the Valdez Glacier area.
