Four miles SE of the S end of Chandler Lake and 15 mi NW of the headwaters of the John River, Brooks Range

History
Named in 1958 by John M. Campbell of Yale University for Donald George MacVicar, Jr., who drowned in Chandler Lake while mapping the geology of the area in 1956.
