Incomplete record. On the Alaska-Canada boundary,trends E-W 35 mi, in the Saint Elias Mountains, bounded on the S by Walsh Glacier and on the N by Chittina Glacier,45 mi N of Mount Saint Elias.

History
Named in 1966 to commemorate the centennials of the Alaska purchase and the Canadian confederation by joint action of the Canadian Permanent Committee on Geographical Names and the U.S. Board on Geographic Names.
