In the Chugach Mountains, between the heads of the North Fork Ship Creek and Camp Creek, 25 mi ESE of Anchorage, Chugach Mts.

History
Named in 1963 by members of the Mointaineering Club of Alaska because the surface of the pass consists of morainal material.
