About

Pika are small mammals closely related to hares and rabbits. They are usually about 6-8 inches when full grown and roughly 5 ounces. They have stalky bodies with short legs, round heads, and large round ears. Pika usually live about 6 years with females producing litters once a year, with 1-4 young.

Habitat & Range

They are typically found in alpine tundra in rocky areas. Though some populations have been found near sea level.
