Heads W of Mount Moore in the Juneau Icefield, trends NW 3 mi. to an icefall where it joins Gilkey Glacier, 2.5 mi. W of Bizzard Peak and 36 mi NNE of Juneau, Coast Mts.

Named in 1962 by members of the Juneau Icefield for for Dr. W.Vaughan Lewis (died 1961), English geomorphologist and world-renowned expert on glaciers.
