on S slope of Brabazon Range, trends S to its 1961 terminus at Tanis Lake, 46 mi. SE of Yakutat St. Elias Mts. 3 miles long.

History

Named by Lieutenant Commander J. F. Moser, U.S. Navy (USN), in 1901, for H. C. Fassett, U.S. Bureau of Fisheries (USBF), who was involved in Alaskan affairs for several years and contributed to our knowledge of native geographic names.
