on S shore of Halibut Bay, on W coast of Kodiak I., 18 mi. SW of Karluk.

History

Named by U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) in 1929 "because of its central location with respect to other prominent points or capes." The U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (USC&GS) survey of 1919 called it "Middle Headland."
