Reported by personnel of U.S.S. Oglala of 1935 U.S. Navy Survey Expedition. Lieutenant Sarichev (1826, map 19), Imperial Russian Navy (IRN), as "Guba Aleutkina." The name "Bukhta Lisyaskaya," meaning "Fox Bay," was published by Captain Tebenkov
