Mountain range, extends southwest 600 miles along the southeast side of the Alaska Peninsula from Chakachamna Lake, 80 miles west of Anchorage to Unimak Island.

History

Spurr (1900, p. 238), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), wrote: "The mountains of the Alaska Peninsula the writer proposes to call also the Aleutian Mountains."
