History

Named in 1933 by Carl J. Lomen of the Lomen Reindeer Corporation "for Leonard D. Baldwim, 1867-1933, philanthropist, who added to the economic development of Alaska***, and who was outstanding for his activities in the protection of wild life throughout North America."
